As part of the team, you will put children at the heart of everything that you do. Yes, like elsewhere it’s challenging but it’s diverse and interesting too and what’s even better is that you’ll get to influence and shape how we work around here. There’s plenty to do but you’ll have the support and contribution of a committed and dedicated team who wants to do their very best for the children in Stoke-on-Trent.
We’re making positive changes responding to Ofsted’s recommendations and we are working hard to improve outcomes for children in the city – we’ve doubled our foster carer numbers, we’re introducing a new social work academy and we’re getting guidance on how to further support children and young people through our new plans and ways of working from Leeds City Council.
Of course, we do face challenges as a city – and we are very open about these. Like any city, there can be tough challenges and decisions to make, but with that comes opportunity and the chance to make your mark. You’ll be able to see real change and in turn be able to personally benefit from a huge sense of accomplishment.
We are committed to ensuring that improvement and investment in children’s services go hand in hand. Our work with partners across the city has helped to completely revitalise and reinvigorate Stoke-on-Trent’s sense of self-confidence, purpose and direction. And in your role you’ll be able to influence, develop and learn in a way like no other opportunity.
Recognise the potential of working here and your potential too - come and be part of #TeamStoke. We know you will enjoy being part of this #StokeIsOnTheUp success story.
